Edible Ecosystems in Sustainable Agriculture
A Study of Permaculture in Britain

This site contains the full text of a dissertation written for an MA degree.  It is based on research carried out between February and August 1999 using postal questionnaires, telephone interviews and site visits.  The main text discusses the relevance of permaculture to Green politics and sustainable agriculture in Britain, whilst the results of the research are tabulated in the appendices with the intention that the data is available for other researchers.  Given the relatively small amount of published academic work on permaculture, I hope that my work will be of use and raise important issues.

I have included a foreword to the Internet version to highlight any changes that have been made since the original academic submission in 1999.

I would welcome your comments by email and will do my best to respond to them.
